“AHT” stands for Architecture History and Theory. The purpose of this module is to let students to have a better understanding on the development of Ancient architecture to Western architecture from the pre- history to the Age of Enlightenment with the consideration of intellectual aesthetic, technological, political and economic factors which influenced the design of buildings. Moreover, students also have the opportunity to understand the visual and verbal architectural vocabulary by sketching so as to conduct various type of history buildings during the ancient period in the assignments. Moreover, students are able to distinguish the differences between the characteristics, construction method, materiality, architecture building styles, plan to section or elevation analysis and etc of the Ancient and Presence period of the buildings in this module.
