CASE STUDY: ASSESSING DAYLIGHT AND THERMAL COMFORT AT MODERN HOUSE

Our lecturer and tutors had kicked start the first assignment by conducting a case study on assessing daylight and thermal comfort at a modern house. Students are required to form a group of six and choose one type of modern house required in the brief which is: i. corner lot of a double storey terraced house or ii. double storey semi-detached house so as provide appropriate scale of orthographic drawings of that chosen space in A2 sized board digitally. Student then required to choose one space each that has issue on i. daylighting and ii. thermal comfort. After that, students are to conduct a data collection on both issues so as implementing at least one passive design for each issues.
